Ant News is designed with privacy in mind. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, or phone number.

• Local Storage: The app stores your "Read" history and selected categories locally on your watch to improve your experience. This data stays on your device.
• User ID: A random, anonymous ID is generated locally to facilitate communication with our news API. This ID is not linked to your identity.
• Email Address If you choose to use the feedback feature, you can optionally supply your email address so we can contact you. This address will not be shared with anyone and is only used for such contact.

2. Third-Party Services

To provide you with the latest news, the app connects to our API. While we do not collect your personal data, the following third-party services may be involved:

• Coil: Used for loading news images.
• Google Play Services: Used for core Wear OS functionality and app distribution.

3. External Links

Ant News contains links to external news websites. If you click on a news article, you will be redirected to that site. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content or privacy policies of any third-party sites. No data is transmitted about you to these sites.

4. Internet Permissions

This app requires Internet access to fetch the latest news articles from our servers. We do not use this connection to track your activity across other apps or websites.

5. Data Retention

You can clear your locally stored "Read" history at any time by long-pressing the news screen or clearing the app cache in your watch settings.

6. Children’s Privacy

Our app does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
